The church of San Giorgio is a Catholic place of worship located in the municipality of Portofino,in the San Giorgio slope,in the metropolitan city of Genoa.The building was erected in Romanesque style in 1154 even if further excavations - carried out in the reconstruction after the Second World War - have allowed the discovery of an ancient chapel with a square plan.Inside are kept the relics of Saint George,the patron saint of Portofino,brought by the Portofino sailors returning from the Crusades.y
