- Cover photo description:
- Pictured is a statue of Saint Rocco in the Church of San Rocco in Pitigliano, Italy. It is the oldest church in Pitigliano, dating back to somewhere between the 12th or 13th century. It was then rebuilt by a famous architect known as Giovanni da Traù il Dalmata at the behest of Nicholas III Orsini in the late 15th century. Saint Rocco was especially known for his work with victims of the plaque and himself contracted the plaque with a wound on his thigh. He was saved by dog that licked his wound and brought him bread daily. He is the patron saint of dogs and many other things.
