  • Coltesti (obsolete Trascau-Sangeorgiu, Sangiorgiul Trascaului Hungarian Torockoszentgyorgy) is a village in Alba County, Romania. It is part of the municipality of Rimetea. Rarely is the place also known under the Hungarian name Toroczko-Szentgyorgy and the German Sankt Georgen. The village is located on the Aiud river - a right tributary of the Mures river - in the Trascau Mountains. Coltesti was first mentioned in documents in 1291. In the area of the village, called by the locals Varhegy (Hungarian for Castle Hill, Romanian Dealul Cetatii), where there are castle ruins, several archaeological finds dating back to the Neolithic and Roman times have been made.
