- The Sipote Waterfall (also known as Sipote Travertine Waterfall), is a waterfall in the Trascaului Mountains, on the territory of Alba County. The Sipote waterfall is a complex karst phenomenon that includes: a water collection basin, part of the Bedeleu Plateau full of sinkholes and slopes located at 1100-1200 m altitude, 3 springs located 400 m below the rock wall, with an average flow through which comes to light the water collected on the plateau, after crossing the thick limestone package, a stream 800 m long that descends from 700 m to 430 m altitude on a steep bed that flows into the Aries river, a large number of waterfalls up to 15 m high crawling on rocks or travertine dams, travertine gorges, pools built like dams from limestone deposits.
