  • These large, heavy slabs of concrete are a testimony to the destructive power of rushing water. The large concrete slabs are 3-4 inches thick. Residents informed me that water from Hilary was within a few inches from the top of the wash. An overflow would have resulted in a flooded neighborhood. Hilary is the first hurricane since 1939.
