- This building is known as the abbots house. Glebe translates as an ecclesiastical benefice. It was built in the 14th century as both a bishop's residence and seminary for the education of priests. The structure was fortified sometime later and contains loopholes, a murder hole a guard tower. It is believed that sometime during its history there was a small garrison stationed at Kilmacduagh that would have resided in this building.
