- Photo title: The architectural appearance of the Bank of Taiwan Head Office
- Author: Yunlongchao
- Cover photo description:
- The Bank of Taiwan Head Office is a designated historic site in Taipei City. The walls and columns of the building are all original granite. It uses a mixture of Western classical architectural elements, such as the four-corner heavy pillars, eight columns on the second floor, stone vase railings, Corinthian column capitals and continuous parapet friezes, all of which are rare masterpieces. During World War II, the building was bombed by the US military and the roof was rebuilt after the war. However, the overall appearance still retains the solemnity, weight and stability of the Japanese colonial period, fully demonstrating a steady and rational aesthetic.
