  • Cover photo description:
  • A castle has stood here since the 12th century. In 1543, a Gothic fortress is documented in writing, which was built on the ruins of the castle. Around 1580 it was already being rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau during the Lobkowicz reign. From 1673 Jan Jetrich of Ledebur owned the Peruck estate. During his reign, the Church of St. Peter and Paul was built opposite and the castle was rebuilt in the early Baroque style. It was given a rococo look under the ownership of Count Kaspar Benedikt of Ledebur between 1763 and 1765. From 1798 the castle was owned by Prince Josef Kinsky. The last nobleman was František Antonín Thun-Hohenstein from 1814.
