- Cover photo description:
- The private residence at 60 Alta Street in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco is easy to miss, being set back and behind ivy. But once you stop, you realize it really is an interesting building in addition to having its own interesting history. Along the upper wall is a fresco of ducks in flight, done in 1935 by the original owner, Helen Forbes with Dorothy Puccinelli, a pair of very well known muralists. It is because of this mural that this is known as the Duck House. It is also where the writer Armistead Maupin lived where he wrote the very famous Tales of the City. As seen 10 April 2024
