- Cover photo description:
- Berger's cape tortoise (Chersobius solus) also known as the Nama dwarf tortoise and Nama padloper, is a species of tortoise in the family Testudinidae. The species is endemic to Namibia. Endemic to southern Africa the genus includes the smallest tortoises in the world. They are commonly known in Europe and Africa as padlopers (originally meaning "path-walkers" in Afrikaans), due to their habit of making tiny pathways through vegetation. In other parts of the world they are known as Cape tortoises.
