- Photo title: Symbols at Italian trulli in Alberobello
- Author: 2circles
- Cover photo description:
- Alberobello is a small town and comune in the Italian province of Bari in Puglia and is famous for its unique trulli constructions. They are part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites list since 1996. Various symbols are painted on the roofs of trulli. The symbols now visible on a row of trulli in via Monte Pertica, here a host with rays radiating from it and a dove symbolising the Holy Spirit, were painted only in the late 20th century and the early 2000s when the roof cones were redone.
