• Khao Ok Talu or Phu Khao Ok Thalu (เขาอกทะลุ), is a mountain located in Phatthalung Province, Thailand. It is a karstic formation. Phatthalung (Thai: พัทลุง) is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from north clockwise) Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Satun and Trang. Phatthalung railway station. It can be accessed from Wat Khuha Sawan through Highway N-4047. There is a flight of stairs leading all the way up to the mountaintop where there is a Buddhist shrine overlooking the city of Phatthalung. The mountain is named after a hole near the top where people can see through it. Symbols The provincial seal shows the 177 meter high Phu Khao Ok Thalu mountain, the symbol of the province. The provincial tree as well as the provincial flower is the Sweet Shorea Khao Ok Talu is an unusually-shaped mountain, clearly visible from afar. It has symbolic significance in Phatthalung and appears in somewhat stylized form in the provincial seal of Phattalung.
