  • The Church of Santa Eugenia del Congost is an old sanctuary from the eleventh century, heavily modified, which was used by the peasants of the village of Tagamanent in northeastern Spain, Catalonia as their worshipping centre. As so many other churches it was burnt down in the year 1939 during the spanish civil war on the retreat of the republican troops. This building is beautifully integrated into the slopes of the Montseny mountains, a popular nature reserve.
