The day hiding under rocks, trees and rotten roots, sometimes digs itself small shelters, though it is short and strong limbs and are not adapted for etogal Salamander in deciduous and mixed forests along river banks or small lakes in the East, South and centre of Europe, and also in the North of the Middle East. Know her and in Ukraine, where this species occurs in the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions. Here, however, this animal is listed in the Red book.
