  • In ancient times believed that Salamander (lat. Salamandra salamandra) - vicious and extremely venomous animal, able to control the element of fire. And this is not surprising as fun when the fire goes out unexpectedly and from it suddenly spotted a strange creature, there is no place for jokes. Active mainly at night, since it does not tolerate high temperatures. The day hiding under rocks, trees and rotten roots, sometimes digs itself small shelters, though it is short and strong limbs and are not adapted for etogal Salamander in deciduous and mixed forests along river banks or small lakes in the East, South and centre of Europe, and also in the North of the Middle East. Know her and in Ukraine, where this species occurs in the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions. Here, however, this animal is listed in the Red book.
