Cover photo info
- Photo title: Typical view of a Warthog feeding in Kruger National Park
- Author: Keithyoung42
- Cover photo description:
- This member of the wild pig family spread around the savannas and woodlands of Africa that includes the Bushpig is mostly grey, but can can appear different while wallowing in the many mud baths. It is identified by the canine teeth that grows upwards into curved tusks, rather than forward-growing as the Bush pig, and of course the large warts that develop later on the sides of their snouts. It also runs with its tail erect when alarmed. They make use of abandoned burrows, but will dig their own. They are basically grazers, kneeling on their forelegs while feeding.
