This carnival is mainly characterized by the complex ceremonial folk full of historical and legendary evocations, for the spectacular Battle of oranges which has become an icon of Carnival and the widespread custom of wearing a red cap (that protects from being targeted by throwing oranges). The photo, made in the old part of the city, portrays a simple but very nice and charming colonnade.
