- Photo title: Converted mill at Five Rise locks at Bingley West Yorkshire
- Author: 6littlemead
- Cover photo description:
- Fine example of former Victorian mill, now converted into luxury apartments. Cargoes would have been winched up and down from doors where the balconies can now be seen. The towpath would have been trodden by horses pulling the barges before they acquired motors. Nowadays the lock is manned and maintained by volunteers. It still has its original smithy building for shoeing the horses and toilet for the barge-owners.
