  • Rose is the collective name of species and varieties of the genus Rose (lat. Rósa) grown man. Most of the varieties of roses received as a result of long selection by repeated crossing and selection. Some varieties are forms of wild species. Many varieties of green Terry rose originate from the roses Gallic rose (Rosa gallica), so named for their wide circulation in France (Gaul). The culture of this rose and the varieties originates from Ancient Babylon, then Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, and from the thirteenth-century France and amounted to an entire epoch in the history of roses, until the XVIII century. The history of garden roses began in the late XVIII — early XIX th century, when in Europe (first in England and then to France) from Southeast Asia were imported species of heat-loving evergreen rose with a peculiar fragrance of the petals, like the smell of tea. These roses had a new decorative qualities: leathery glossy leaves, special fine shape of flower buds and especially important feature — the remontantnistyu, i.e., the ability to long repeated flowering. The efforts of plant breeders have focused on the creation of new varieties that would combine the remontantnistyu Asian and European frost roses.
