Sitting in the shadow of the castle the Church is of great historical and religious importance. It was founded in 1129 during the reign of David I as the parish church of Stirling and the coronation of King James VI as King of Scots was held here in 1567 with a sermon preached by John Knox .The cemetery is a beautiful place just to sit and contemplate on a sunny day
