- A Death tree is a place where Khmer Rouge soldiers killed Cambodian children by striking heads in tree, on the tree they hanged the loudspeaker and turned music up to drown the scream of the victims, Killing Field at Choeung Ek, Cambodia. Tuol Sleng in Khmer means Hill of the Poisonous Trees or Strychnine Hill. Killing Fields is a place where more than a million Cambodian were killed and buried by the Khmer Rouge regime, during its rule of the the country from 1975 to 1979.
