- Standing iron generals, casted in China's Song Dynasty (AD 1064). Each is 3 meters high and about 3 tonnes in weight. They are the largest form and the best preserved iron generals still exist in China. They are also the treasure of the Zhongyue temple. The Zhongyue Temple is located at the foot of Mt. Songshan in the central province of Henan, China. It is also part of the Dengfeng city’s “Center of Heaven and Earth†Historic Monuments. Covering an area of 110,000 square meters with eleven main buildings standing on the central axis way, the Zhongyue Temple is the biggest group of ancient architecture among China’s Five Taoist Sacred Mountains.
