  • Kenya Olare Orok Conservancy is littered with the skulls and bones of long-deceased animals. No wonder then, that one of them happens to be an African Elephant. They only die at age 60, so there are not many. Here is one, discovered by a baby Elephant. Instinctively, he knows what it is. He sniffs at it with his trunk and rolls it gently with a raised foot. Others in the herd visited the skull, each using delicate sniffing motions with their trunks. It's true what they say 'an Elephant never forgets'.
