  • Cover photo description:
  • Winter in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. A rare sight: The Four Peaks, part of the Mazatzal Mountain Range, are covered with snow. They are a prominent landmark east of Phoenix. The name Four Peaks is a reference to the four distinct peaks of a north-south ridge forming the mountain´s summit. The northernmost peak (left) is named Browns Peak and is the tallest of the four at 7, 657 feet (2, 334 m). The typical vegetation of the Sonoran Desert is visible in the foreground: saguaro cacti, palo verde trees, prickly pears, Buckhorn chollas. Please, check out my portfolio for more views of The Four Peaks!
