  • Dalat College of Education formerly Grand Lycée Yersin was recognized by the World Association of Architects UIA as one of the 1,000 unique buildings of the 20th century. The school was founded in 1927 by the Moncet architect and designed for French children and some rich Vietnamese families. In 1932, Petit Lycée Dalat was renamed the Grand Lycée de Dalat Lycée Yersin to commemorate doctor Alexandre Yersin. The arcade-themed classroom, the brick-and-mortar building is the red brick ceiling that was transported from Europe, and the roof was made of tiles made in France. At present the roof tiles have been replaced by old tiles that are no longer usable. The highlight of the arcade house is the bell tower. The outside of the bell tower had a clock before but may have been dismantled, visitors can only see the vestiges of the big clock also printed on the brick. There is no bell on top of the bell tower, as it may have been dismantled during the old regime.
