- The building of the chambers is located to the right from the North gate of Novodevichy convent. It was built in 1687-1688 and named in honor of Eudoxia Lopukhina, who was the first wife of Peter I. In 1697, when the conspiracy was opened father and brother of the Queen were exiled, and soon she was forcibly tonsured a nun and sent to Suzdal monastery – a traditional place of exile of the Royal wives. Eudoxia Lopukhina lived in the chambers only in 1727-1731 during the reign of her grandson - Peter II.
