- Red-eyed crocodile skinks are shy, crepuscular, active mostly at dawn and dust lizards. There are eight known species in the genus Tribolonotus, which can be found from Irian Jaya and Papua New Guinea to the Solomon Islands. Tribolonotus gracilis from Papua New Guinea, Admiralty Islands and T. novaeguineae Irian Jaya&are the only two species of Tribolonotus commonly found in the pet trade.
