- Cover photo description:
- The Eastbourne Pier is a 300 m long pier in the southern English city of Eastbourne in East Sussex. It was built between 1866 and 1872 by the architect Eugenius Birch. The pier was opened on 13 June 1870 by Lord Edward Cavendish. In the following years, stylish superstructures were erected on the pier, which were used for entertainment venues, cafés and snack stands. This photo shows a part at the end, which is not used anymore, accept for the seaguls.
