- Cover photo description:
- The Barska strnadica lat.Emberiza schoeniclus is a small bird of a singer from the family Emberizidae, a group that is almost separated from the sister sisterhood of the tooth Fringillidae. The Latin name of the genus Emberis originates from the emperor`s word Embritz, which means the conjunctiva. The Latin name of the species schoeniclus derives from the ancient Greek word skhoiniklos, now unknown species of birds that meet by the water. Nestlies throughout Europe and much of the temperate and northern Asia. Most of the population migrates to the south during the winter, while those of the western and warmer regions do not move and there are tenants. They are common in swamps and barges, although they can nest on more dry habitats such as peat bogs or agricultures. Meat seeds are used to prepare a large number of dishes, for example, it can be cooked or used as a pie for meat pies. The seams were especially appreciated. In modern times, because of the reduction in the habitat, the seeds are difficult to find, but can be found in restaurants in Italy or elsewhere in southern Europe
