Cover photo info
- Photo title: Admiralteyskaya embankment. St. Petersburg.
- Author: Ildarx7
- Cover photo description:
- The Admiralteyskaya Embankment runs along the left bank of the Bolshaya Neva River and the 2nd Admiralty Island. It starts from the intersection of the Palace Passage with the Palace Embankment and the Palace Bridge, ends with the Senate Square. Since the construction of the city in 1703 and the Admiralty in 1704, this part of the bank of the Great Neva River was used as an outlet to the Admiralty Shipyard. Raw materials and supplies were supplied through this “river gateâ€, and here built ships came down from the slings.
