The male has muscular, deep-chested body, short, rounded head, round ears, and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail. It is sexually dimorphic adult male lions have a prominent mane. The one visible here is a very young male, the mane is not yet fully grown. To its right is a grown up cub. Young lions will stay with their pride for up to 3 years.
