- Cover photo description:
- Serbian Orthodox monastery Prohor Pcinjski is an 11th-century Serbian Orthodox monastery in the south of Serbia, near the border with Macedonia. It is situated at the left side of the Pcinja river. According to tradition, it was founded 1067–1071 by the Byzantine emperor Romanus IV in honour of Saint Prohor Pcinjski. It has great impact on Macedonian heritage, too. The first plenary session of ASNOM (The Anti-Fascist Assembly of the National Liberation of Macedonia) was convened on August 2, 1944 in this monastery. The monastery was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1979, and it is protected by Republic of Serbia.
