- Cover photo description:
- Old settlement of Puerto de Luna in rural New Mexico on the Peco River, was established by Hispanic families in the 1860`s. It`s name, in English, gateway to the moon, allegedly derives from the fact Coronado and his army camped here, and saw the rising full moon through a ga in the rugged hills. Billy the Kid reportedly ate his last Christmas Eve dinner here in 1880 while being transported to trial in the custody of Pat Garrett.
