Cover photo info
- Photo title: A Fulgora genus planthopper dorsal view
- Author: Ricardnature
- Cover photo description:
- This is a Fulgora genus planthopper, Fulgoridae family. There are only nine species in the Fulgora genus. Found in Central and South America. Common names: peanut bug, peanut-headed lanternfly, alligator bug and machaca. This one is maybe a Fulgora laternaria species. It seems weird, an animal from another world, another planet. The shape of the head is funny, it is a peanut. Observed at Cerro Cahuà Protected Biotope, Petén, northern Guatemala.
