It is also an eight-kilometer road, street, between Schouwen-Duiveland and North Beveland, part of the way the N57. The dam closes the former estuary the Eastern Scheldt partly of from the North Sea. This dam is a landmark, cultural heritage and tourist attraction. THE floodgates are open and salt water flows from the sea in the Oosterschelde. The Delta Works have been declared one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. At the barriers is a wind farm on the coast is almost always wind so the wind turbines, windmills run at full speed.
