Cover photo info
- Photo title: Dome Church, Invalides, Paris, France
- Author: Bogdan
- Cover photo description:
- The Dome Church is part the complex of Invalides, a military refuge build by the Sun King, Louis XIV between 1671 and 1676. However, its role was for the exclusive use of the royal kings, as the location of their tombs and official ceremonies. No royal king was buried here until 1860 when it was decided to install Napoleon remains in the crypt, and in the same time they added the ones of Vauban, Marchal Foch and other military figures.
