  • The area where this boat is located is an odd one. This half mile stretch of marsh land looks like an abandoned boat graveyard! There are well over 50 different boats of various sizes dotted all along the place; all in multiple stages of decay. Obviously at some point it was a working boat dock where people would tie up their boats, but over time the water has receded and essentially left these boats beached in the now soggy, muddy marsh. My boots can attest to the mud. Maybe the cost of retrieving the boats outweighed the cost of the actual boats so the owners decided to just leave them? I really don’t know. But when you look inside any of the boats you can tell they haven’t been maintained at all for a very long time. It’s a sad fate for what were probably quite expensive boats…
