  • Malaga Cathedral is an impressive structure that towers above the streets of the ancient city. Like many other Christian churches Spain, the Cathedral of our lady of the Incarnation, also known as the Cathedral, erected on the site of a former Islamic mosque. The Catholic monarchs ordered to build this temple immediately after the liberation of Malaga from the Moors. The Cathedral had become a symbol of a victorious Christianity, a demonstration of the greatness of the Catholic Church. Work was started in 1528. They continued with some interruptions until 1782.
