- Also called Brancoveanu Upper Church, the church is located on Mihai viteazul street in Ocna Sibiu and is dedicated to St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel. It was built by Mihai Viteazul in 1600, after the victory at Selimbar 1599. The building was rectangular apse type cutout withdrawn from the walls of the nave, brick on stone foundation. Decorations on the facades were specific mountainous. It was burned by the Turks who passed through Transylvania and the ruins rebuilt Constantin Braconveanu it, in 1701, the architecture of the monument is a testament to the artistic relations between Romanian and Transylvania Country. The church houses the murals in 1723, including the painting of Michael the Brave and Constantin Brancoveanu. The church was renovated in 1895, when valuables were taken in museums in Sibiu, Cluj and Alba Iulia.
